I made something! Initial Tray

Look what I made!I made my sister in law a cute basket full of gifts from her wedding registry, and some personalized gifts with her new initial. This is the tray that I made for her.

I'm really happy with how it came out, and all the ladies at the shower loved it! This was my first experience with modgepodge - and it wasn't as bad as I thought. I bought an unfinished wooden tray from Hobby Lobby for $1.80 (it was 40% off), a sheet of scrapbook paper for $1, black paint for $0.40, and some modgepodge for $3.60 (I had a 40% off coupon). Not a bad personalized gift for $6.80! And, um...hours and hours and hours of my time. I really did think this was going to be a quick little project, but it took a really long time. Now, if I had devoted a couple days to this little tray, I'm sure it would have been done pretty quickly...but I did a little bit here and there over the course of a couple weeks, so it seemed to take FOREVER.
What do you think?

Love it! My husband made me one for my birthday a couple years ago with pictures on it of us. It was really sweet!
