Wicked

Saturday night, the other wives & girlfriends of hubby's friends went to see Wicked at The Hobby Center.  It was amazing!!  I saw it on Broadway a few years ago, and it was just as great here in Houston.  If you have the opportunity to go see it - run, don't walk - haha!

It is the story of the Wizard of Oz told from the witches' perspective.  It will change the way you think of that movie forever (in a great way!).

We had dinner at Laurenzos on Washington, and it was great!  The food was wonderful, and they had all kinds of fun drinks to try.

And, guess what we saw drive by?  A pedal party!  Check this out -
(This pic is from their website, it's not us)
So, it is a bar with seats all around, and a bike seat and pedals at each spot!  So, you pedal down Washington and drink while you go!  How fun does that sound (when it is not 100 degrees outside of course!)!?  I can't wait to do it - us girls are oh-so-excited, but the guys are hesitant...I'm sure we will convince them how much fun it will be!

That looks like so much fun!! Of course you just have to convince the guys to go ;o) You need someone to do all of that pedaling! haha!

We had a girls night and saw Wicked on Saturday night - it is definitely one of my favorites, up there with Lion King. I already want to see it again, Glinda did such a great job!

I think the pedal party sounds like a blast, but like your guys, I think dillon would be a little hesitant. lol

I'm so jealous I wanted so bad to go see Wicked but am really trying to save money right now. :(

Loved Wicked, saw it a few weeks ago and loved every moment.

I also love the Pedal Party...partially because I'm the Captain, but mostly because its made of pure awesomeness!

If your guys decide they aren't down for it (their loss) get a group of ladies together and come on down. We do a lot of "Girl's Night" groups and Bachelorette parties. Its not as hard to pedal as you might fear...its pretty easy actually as long as you have a full group.

Much like Wicked though, if you can convince your men to go, I guarantee they'll have a GREAT time!

Gene - Fun fun!!!! It's so great to hear from someone that actually does the pedal parties! Thank you so much - I have a feeling we will talk those boys into it!

Laura - I am totally with you on the saving money thing - tickets were not too terribly bad, we paid $52 and our seats were pretty high up, but still great.

Emily - I LOVED Glinda! I would like to be her - haha! I haven't seen Lion King, but I hope to someday.

Lisa, yes we do need the boys to pedal - that would be the perfect "job" for them :)

That pedal party looks hilarious! At least you'd be working off the calories as you were drinking them!

oh my gosh; I love everything about this post. Wicked is amazing! Also, we have pedal pubs like that in Minneapolis! My only advice if you do it with all girls; make sure to tell them to wear comfy shoes. We all wore heels/wedges and were really sorry that night! You're legitimately pedaling our butt off! Have so much fun!
